What does a missed call actually cost?
Your numbers, not ours. Change any of them — this page is arithmetic, not a promise.
A little back-of-the-envelope honesty.
Make it your numbers.
Four estimates. Every one is yours to change.
After hours, mid-appointment, mid-job. Most owners guess low — check your phone's missed list.
One appointment, in dollars. Use your most common service, not your priciest.
The rest are questions, wrong numbers, sales calls. Sixty percent is a middling guess — yours is better.
They googled the next place instead. If you often see missed numbers call again, turn this down.

Argue with this calculator.
The assumptions deserve a second look.
“I do not miss that many calls”
Most owners underestimate it, because a missed call leaves no trace unless you go looking. Your phone bill or carrier app will show you the real figure for last month — put that in rather than your impression of it.
“They ring back”
Some do, and the calculator assumes a share of them do not. That share is the single assumption doing the most work here, and it is adjustable — turn it down until you believe it and see whether the answer still matters.
“Not every caller wanted to book”
Correct, which is why the default is well under one in one. Some are suppliers, wrong numbers and people selling you search engine optimisation. The default assumes most callers wanted something, not that all of them did.
“This is just a sales tool”
It is arithmetic on numbers you supply, with every assumption on screen and adjustable. We would rather you talked yourself out of it here than discovered in month two that the figures never worked.
What the number is not
It is not a forecast of what Harkbell will earn you. An answered call is not a booking, and a booking is not a customer for life. The honest claim is narrower and still worth acting on: this is the revenue that currently walks past you without leaving a record, and an agent that answers is how you find out what the real number is. After a week of it answering, the dashboard will tell you exactly how many of those calls existed — at which point you can replace every assumption on this page with a measurement.
Cheaper to find out than to keep wondering.
