Deposits, taken the way your studio already takes them

The agent can say your Cash App tag out loud, or send your Stripe link by text. It never sees the money.

Reads it out

What it does

  • It knows which of yours can be said out loud

A URL read down a phone is useless — nobody is writing down a forty-character link while driving. A Cash App tag is not. So every method declares whether it has a sayable handle, and the agent reads the handle when there is one and promises a text when there is not.

  • The caller chooses

Offer several and the agent asks which they would like, then confirms the amount out loud: “the deposit is $100”. The figure comes from the service itself, so it is right by construction rather than by somebody remembering to update a script.

  • The link follows by text and email

With your own note attached, alongside the booking confirmation and your consent form — each only when you have configured it.

  • Adding a method re-teaches the agent immediately

A studio that adds Cash App without the agent learning about it has an agent offering Venmo only, and telling a caller who asks for Cash App that it does not recognise the method. So a change to your payment methods republishes the agent on the spot.

Turning it on

  1. Open Configuration → Texting and add the methods you already use under Ways to pay.
  2. Give each one its handle or link.
  3. Set a deposit amount on the services that need one.
  4. Publish.

What this actually takes

  • An account with whichever of these you already use. We do not resell payments and take no cut.
  • A deposit amount on the service, if you want the agent saying one.

the part nobody else prints

What it will never do

  • Handle, hold, or route your money. Harkbell never calls a payment API.
  • Tell you a deposit was paid. We do not know, and the diary says “link sent — unpaid as far as we know” rather than guessing.
  • Take card numbers over the phone. The agent will not ask for one and will not accept one.

Questions people ask about this one

Do you take a cut of the deposit?

No, and we never see it. The money moves directly between your client and whichever service you already use. We are telling the caller how to pay you, not processing anything.

How do I know whether they paid?

The same way you do now — you look in Venmo, or Stripe, or your bank. Harkbell records that the link was sent and is explicit in the diary that it does not know whether it was paid, because a system that guesses about money is worse than one that says nothing.

Hear it before you connect anything.

The free plan has real answered minutes. Put it on your own website, ask it the questions your callers ask, and add your deposit link when you are convinced.
